OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Ottumwa will be bowling strikes and seeing lots of green for the next three months.

The city is hosting this years Iowa State Womens Bowling Association tournament. The 5th annual event is held in different cities, and is expected to bring 3400 female bowlers along with an estimated $3-4 million.

The Bridge City Bowling Alley will host 649 teams; while singles and doubles matches will be played at Champs Bowling Alley.

Woments Bowling Association Manager Charla Green is excited to be in the City of Bridges.

"Everybody bowls, everybody receives handicap. We have it divided into four divisions by average; so we actually will crown four winners in each division. We're delighted to be here in Ottumwa. They've been very hospitable and we're certainly looking forward to having an outstanding event while we're in your community."

The tournament will last until May 15th. If you would like to get more information, visit http://www.iowawba.com.
