Iowa mobile home tenants would have more rights under bill

Far-reaching legislation introduced Tuesday seeks to give tenants and buyers of manufactured homes legal rights on par with renters and other homeowners in Iowa.

School board cuts budget

Fairfield school board members approved more than $750,000 of cuts and reductions from next year’s budget and directed the superintendent and business manager to proceed with the process of making the cuts.

MPCSD could lose $25,000 in spending authority

Although the Iowa Legislature has yet to set school district funding for fiscal 2012, the Mt. Pleasant Community School District is bracing for the worst — 0 percent allowable growth.
