BOONE COUNTY, MO -- A former Macon County “Fugitive of the Week” has been captured in Boone County.

Travis Rowe, 35, of Columbia had active felony warrants with cash only bonds worth $265,000.

He was picked up by a Boone County deputy who used a license plate scanner to identify Rowe's vehicle. Rowe tried to evade the deputy by getting out of the car and running into the woods near Highway 63 and I-70. He was located by a K-9 unit and taken into custody.

At that time Rowe had more than $16,000 in cash on his person.

After getting a search warrant, authorities found multiple pounds of marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms in Rowe's residence, along with numerous firearms.

Rowe is charged with resisting arrest, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
