KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Snow piles left behind from last weeks blizzard are sparking some concern among area motorists.  We have received several phone calls from viewers stating they can’t see oncoming traffic at select intersections due to four, five and even six foot snow piles.  Kirksville Public Works Director John Buckwalter said they do have an action plan on taking care of the problem.

“After the Weber Bus Company ran their routes after the storm we contacted them and they informed us of the areas they thought had the greatest hazard” said Buckwalter.  “Right now we are responding to individual calls so if anyone out there knows of an intersection where there’s a hazardous snow pile obstructing your view they should give us a call to let us know.”

The phone number for Kirksville Public Works Department is (660) 627-1291.
