KIRKSVILLE -- State representative Zachary Wyatt said he thinks people want to know more about their government.
That's why he held a town hall meeting in Kirksville Saturday.
He and Sen. Brian Munzlinger answered questions from their constituents on the state budget and new legislation this spring.
Wyatt also discussed his new position on the renewable energy committee.
He said he hopes to educate people about what he's voting on.
“Well, I wanted to get people out so they could become educated on what's going on down in Jeff City. I think that's one of the main issues that a lot of the constituents have had during this last election season. They wanted to be more informed, they wanted to know what's happening what's being voted on, and I think we did this a lot today. We were able to accomplish this," he said.
