Peace Corps is the topic of Iowa Wesleyan Forum program

MOUNT PLEASANT, IOWA -- Iowa Wesleyan College will present “50 Years of the Peace Corps: An Old Peace Corps Volunteer looks back at Nigeria” by Dr. Floyd Sandford, professor emeritus of biology at Coe College. The program will be held Thursday, January 27 at 11 a.m. in the Iowa Wesleyan College Chapel Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

Sandford is the author of the book, African Odyssey, published in 2007. It relates his experiences as a science teacher in Nigeria in the Peace Corps in the 1960s. During that time, Sandford also travelled throughout Nigeria and to other locations in East Africa.

The program is part of the Iowa Wesleyan College Forum series.
