KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville woman is behind bars following a physical altercation.
Angel Ryan, 29, has been charged with domestic assault.
Ryan is accused of hitting her boyfriend, Larry Pranger, over the head with an object during a fight Tuesday night.
When officers arrived at the home to check things out, Ryan fled from the scene. She was caught a short time later and admitted to officers she hit Pranger over the head, but in self-defense.
Pranger was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, Ryan is being held at the Adair County Detention Center under a $25,000 cash only bond.
