KIRKSVILLE, MO -- With only three days until 2011 the Adair County YMCA is offering a jump start to your New Years resolution.  Starting January 3rd they will be hosting their fourth annual “Get Fit Challenge”.

“It’ll go for 12 weeks” said Membership/Wellness Director Diane Corder.  “You do have to weigh in each week to qualify for the grand prize, and the grand prize this year will be a trip for two to Branson, or a free year’s subscription for two (to the Y) and so the team that wins will get to decide what they want.”

Corder said they hope participants not only make this a new year’s resolution but a lifestyle change as well.  To help, they plan to switch a couple things up this year.

“This year we’re doing it a little bit different” said Corder.  “We’re going to have a challenge each week.  So every Saturday morning you can come out at 9:00 a.m. and we’ll do a fitness challenge of some sort and with the teams.”

Teams are made up of two people and require a $35 entry fee.

For more information or to sign up call the Adair County YMCA at (660) 665-1922.
