The already depleted ranks of the Iowa State Patrol could shrink significantly, jeopardizing public safety, unless the Iowa Legislature intervenes with extra money to maintain staffing levels, an official said Monday.

Centralia Police make big cocaine bust

Authorities discovered a "substantial" amount of cocaine in Centralia and made five drug arrests Monday night and early Tuesday morning. The oldest suspect is 21 and one is a juvenile.
