OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Indian Hills Community College hosted a regional tournament.
Over 150 kids participated in the first LEGO League Championship Tournament.
Using LEGO bricks and MINDSTORMS components, contestants put their research to the test.
They designed robots to explore one of the most relevant topics facing the world, how engineering mixes biological and medical sciences to advance healthcare.
The kids explored biomedical engineering to discover ways to repair injuries and to maximize the human body’s potential.
