FAIRFIELD, IOWA --
Fire broke out on a Fairfield property Saturday evening.
The Fairfield Fire Department was called to a shop on fire next to a residence on Old Highway 34 around 7:45 p.m.
The Fairfield Fire Captain tells KTVO the fire was started by a wood burning stove.
No one was home when the blaze started.
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to put out the fire.
Lockridge Fire and Rescue was called for back-up.
