ELDON, IOWA -- Voters in the Cardinal School District, listen up.

A special election will be held on December 7.

The district is asking voters to extend the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy, also know as PPEL.

The PPEL has been approved for many years and a "yes" vote would continue the amount of funds that the district is currently receiving.

Superintendent Joel Pedersen wants to get the school board and community members involved to see what improvements they would like to see made.

"The importance of the PPEL election is that those dollars can be used to improve our infrastructure, buildings and transportation, mainly our school buses," Pedersen said.
