KIRKSVILLE, MO --

A Kirksville man charged in an October, 2006 killing in Knox County, has received another delay in his case.

Shane Roberts, 31, was scheduled to go on trial this week in Linn County Circuit Court, however the trial has been delayed on a request by the defense.

Roberts is charged in the death of Larry Callahan in October of 2006 at the Callahan residence in Knox City, Missouri.

According to court documents, Roberts and his sister, Angela Knowles, went to the Callahan residence to get money. When Callahan wouldn’t give them any, Roberts allegedly shot Callahan killing him.

Roberts sister, Angela Knowles, entered a guilty plea to a count of second degree murder in April of this year. She is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
