Shawn Wright, 40, of Kahoka was found dead Tuesday in a remote area south of Alexandria, Mo. His death is considered suspicious.
NEAR ALEXANDRIA, MO. -- Authorities have released the name of a northeast Missouri man found dead Tuesday in rural Clark County.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday evening that the victim is Shawn R. Wright, 40, of Kahoka.
A number of years ago, Wright used to live in Kirksville.
Investigators said at this time Wright’s death is considered suspicious, and the investigation in ongoing.
Wright’s body was found along a remote road south of Alexandria.
Authorities are still awaiting autopsy results.
On Wednesday, workers at the Gregory Landing Logsdon Elevator told our sister station KHQA Wright’s body was found near a river camp about a quarter of a mile north of the elevator.
Residents in that area told KHQA a farmer found the body while walking along the river. He immediately called 911.
