FAIRFIELD, IOWA -- The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center offered a bit of a different shopping experience Oct. 23.
The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce put on the 13th annual Business Expo, in which over 40 local businesses set up booths and put their products and services on display.
“[The businesses will] be able to talk with them about what they provide, what services and products they offer, as well as answer questions and really just kind-of have a dialogue in a non-threatening environment about these products that are available in our own backyard; doing some shopping locally, some buying locally,” said Brent Willett, Executive Director for the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an opportunity, in one place, to learn about a number of businesses and opportunities that a lot of folks don’t know about.”
The day also involved entrepreneurial presentations, main stage seminars, and a pumpkin patch for families.
All of the events were free of admission.
