KIRKSVILLE, MO --
Congressman Roy Blunt stopped in Kirksville Tuesday afternoon to chat about jobs.
Blunt met with supporters and volunteers to talk about his "Jobs for Missouri” plan.
The plan would focus on getting more jobs from the private sector and less from the government.
“The government has created way too many questions about the future and the questions are not good. Like what happens if my utility bill doubles with cap and trade, what are my new obligations for every employer with this new government mandated health care, and why are my taxes going to go up on this job I'm thinking about creating?” said Blunt.
Blunt says hopefully Missouri will see some changes after the election.
He says the government should create an atmosphere that encourages job creation in small businesses. Read more on the jobs plan here.
