NEAR ATLANTA, MO. -- A one-vehicle wreck on Highway 63 sent a three-year-old boy to the hospital by helicopter Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that little Isaac Marin of Kirksville was thrown from the minivan his mom was driving.

Investigators said Leslie Marin, 28, of Kirksville ran off the left side of the roadway into the median one mile north of Atlanta on Highway 63.

The van struck a culvert and overturned, ejecting the three-year-old.

Isaac Marin was airlifted from the scene to University Hospital in Columbia where he was in fair condition at last check.

He was transferred to Columbia Regional Hospital Friday evening.

The Highway Patrol's crash report says the boy was restrained.

Leslie Marin was not hurt in the wreck.
