Public meeting to be held on state parks/historical sites

JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI -- Press Release from Missouri Department of Natural Resources

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Gen. John J. Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site in Laclede. The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the facility’s visitor contact center at 1100 General Pershing Drive and the public is invited to attend.

Representatives from the site and the Pershing Park Memorial Association will be on hand to answer and provide information on present and future plans for the facilities.  Agenda items will include the Pershing Boyhood Home Site improvements as well as updates on the project to construct the Pershing Memorial Museum and Leadership Archives. The meeting will also provide information about Locust Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure the public has input on services and facilities in state parks and historic sites.
