MACON, MO --

A Macon man's need for a meth making ingredient lands him in jail.

The suspect, in his search for pseudoephedrine, arranged a meeting with a confidential informant.

Arrested was Gerald Scrimshire, Jr., 25, of Macon.

He's charged with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, that substance being methamphetamine.

He is being held in the Macon County Jail under a $50,000 cash only bond.

No court date has been set.

Scrimshire was arrested by Macon County Sheriff's deputies with a car full of meth making ingredients, enough to manufacture meth by the shake and bake method.
