KIRKSVILLE, MO -- If you were trying to use your water early Tuesday morning, you may have had a little trouble. 

City of Kirksville crews were called to a water main break just after midnight Tuesday morning.  It made a muddy mess on East Cottonwood Street, just as you turn off Baltimore Street.  Part of the sidewalk had to be removed so crews could access the water main. 

Residents who live the affected area are under a 48 hour boil order.
