Mayor loses battle with cancer

UNIONVILLE, MO -- A Heartland city official dies after battling cancer for several years.
     
Karl Klinginsmith of Unionville died Monday night at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
    
Klinginsmith was serving his third term as mayor of Unionville.
    
He was 47 years old.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Playle & Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville.
   
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday at the same location.
