LITTLE SIOUX, IOWA (AP) -- Iowa authorities say the driver involved in a crash that killed four motorcyclists last month had a blood-alcohol level more than four times the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
A report released Thursday said blood tests showed 21-year-old Andrew Schlichtemeier of Murray, Neb., had a blood-alcohol level of 0.373 percent after the Aug. 9 crash.
Other drivers said Schlichtemeier's truck was weaving before crossing the center line of Interstate 29 and colliding with the motorcyclists near Little Sioux.
No charges have been filed against Schlichtemeier yet.
The motorcyclists killed were: 62-year-old Dennis Chaney and 49-year-old Dale Aspedon, both of Glenwood, Iowa; 62-year-old Steven Benscoter of Pacific Junction, Iowa; and 48-year-old Jay Bock of Omaha, Neb.
