(AP) --
A Florida minister who has created an international uproar about his plans to burn copies of the Muslim holy book on the anniversary of 9/11 now says he won't burn any qurans.
The Rev. Terry Jones says he changed his plans after reaching a deal to move the location of the controversial mosque planned near New York's ground zero.
But the head of Islamic Society of Central Florida says Jones misunderstood, and the location has not been changed.
KTVO spoke with Congressman Sam Graves about the issue.
He says it's an unfortunate situation in our Christian nation.
“We are very tolerant of so many other religions whereas many other religions aren't very tolerant of Christians in the world, and that's kind of what the sad part is. And in the United States, you have the right. That's one of the things we hold dear in the United States is you have the right to demonstrate and the right to freedom of speech,” Graves said.
Graves said burning the quran would only incite more emotion on a day that's already tragic for our nation.
