QUEEN CITY, MO --

A new face running for office hit the campaign trail Thursday.

Republican Craig Redmon stopped in queen city to meet with NEMO citizens and ask for their support.

He's running for District 1 State Representative, the seat currently held by Brian Munzlinger.

Representative Munzlinger and Congressman Sam Graves were there to endorse Redmon, who says he has the right experience for the job.

“Owning my own business and managing you learn how to stay within a budget, how to work within your means and how to get things done,” said Redmon.

If elected, Redmon says he would work to create and retain jobs in his district, and make sure rural schools get equal funding form the state.
