KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville attorney enters a plea in connection with his most-recent legal trouble.

Rick Jackson, 53, was originally charged with third-degree domestic assault, a Class A misdemeanor.

The charge stemmed from an incident back in December involving his estranged wife.

It happened at a Kirksville dance studio.

Jackson has entered an Alford Plea to a reduced charge of peace disturbance in the case.

An Alford Plea admits no guilt; however, it does mean Jackson admits the prosecution does have enough evidence to convict in the case.

Jackson is scheduled for sentencing on November 15.
