Attorney's trial moved out of area

HOWARD COUNTY, MO. -- The trial of a Kirksville attorney facing a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault is moved.

Rick Jackson, 53, of Kirksville is charged with third-degree domestic assault in connection with an incident that happened last December at a Kirksville dance studio.

Shelby County Prosecutor James McConnell is acting as special prosecutor in the case.

Jackson's case will now be heard in Howard County in central Missouri on a change of venue from Adair County.

A court date has not yet been set in Howard County.
