Teen seriously injured in car vs. semi crash

MACON, MO. -- A Heartland teenager was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Macon County Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Highway 36 at Kellog Ave. Blake Grigsby, 19, of Elmer, Mo., failed to yield and pulled into the path of a semi truck driven by 43-year-old Kenny Clayton of Manchester, Ill.

Grigsby was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Mo., and later airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
