KIRKSVILLE, MO --

It's only a matter of hours until some kids are back in the classroom.

Students attended “Sneak-A-Peek” at the Kirksville Primary School Tuesday. Students in kindergarten through second grade could drop off school supplies, check out their classrooms, and meet their new teacher for the year.

“We've been working hard with teachers this summer, they've worked on a lot of new writing practices. We've really been looking at our curriculum and so we're real anxious to put a lot of that in practice, a lot of training and things that we're going to be doing this year as an instructional staff and so we're anxious now to have the kids in classrooms so we can put that to use,” said Principal Tricia Reger.

It was also a chance for parents and students to ask any last minute questions and ease their minds about back-to-school jitters.
