KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Vacation bible school wrapped up for some 300 area kids this weekend.

Organizers say the first "Saddle Ridge Ranch" was a complete success. On Saturday all the children that participated in VBS came together for a big family round up finale at Rotary Park.

The camp was put on by four Kirksville churches—First Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Rehoboth Baptist Church and Hamilton Street Baptist Church.

“Saddle Ridge Ranch is just a message to the kids that no matter what you’ve done as far as sin, God loves you anyway, he loves you wherever you are, whatever you have done.  He’s everything and the kids have really got it.  We’re excited about the difference we’ve made in the kids lives and hopefully that’ll kind of filter in to their parents and the homes. Kids send a huge message to families and parents,” said organizer Lisa Archer.

All of the churches used the same theme for their vacation bible schools this year.
