Rising waters close Market Street Bridge

(OTTUMWA, Iowa) - The City of Ottumwa has closed the Market Street Bridge on account of rising river levels.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to find alternate routes.

According to the National Weather Service, the Des Moines River is expected to crest just below 20 feet some time Wednesday night.
