DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- The Iowa Legislative Services Agency says the state's revenue dropped less than 1 percent last month compared with July of 2009.
An agency report says Iowa is still beating projected revenue totals despite the dip.
The agency says the July drop may be a result of an accounting change or calendar variations.
Iowa's general fund revenue decreased by $2.3 million last month. But selected reporting changes and fluctuations might have prevented the state from processing revenues that could have been credited to July's total.
The agency says those factors bode well for growth in August.
