Final fireworks suspect behind bars

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The sixth and final suspect charged in the theft of fireworks in Kirksville during this past Independence Day holiday, has turned himself in.

18-year-old Charles Longcor of Kirksville, is facing two separate charges of felony stealing.

He's charged, along with several others, with the theft of more than $2,000 worth of fireworks from two stands in Kirksville: almost $1400 from the El Kadir Shrine Club and nearly $800 worth from Compton's Fireworks.

Longcor is being held in the Adair County jail on $50,000 cash only bond.

This suspect is the sixth adult who has been charged in connection with the two thefts.  A juvenile is also charged in the case.
