MILAN, MO. -- A teenager is dead following a drowning incident in Sullivan County, Missouri. Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smiley tells KTVO that 17-year-old David Snyder of Colfax, Wisconsin drowned while swimming with co-workers at the "Milan Motel" late last night.

Smiley says the 911 call came in just before 10:30 PM. When he arrived at the scene, emergency workers were already attempting to revive Snyder. The teen was pronounced dead a short time later at Sullivan County Hospital.

Snyder was in Milan working at the PSF Farms as an employee of a pit pumping company from Wisconsin. An autopsy was performed today in Columbia to determine the official cause of death. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
