Financial update on Iowa 2nd District Race

OTTUMWA, IOWA -- In a follow up to Friday’s report, our Fact Finder team now has numbers on incumbent Dave Loebsack.

Congressman Loebsack faces Dr. Marianette Miller-Meeks this November.

Reports show Congressman Loebsack raised more than $115,000 in the second quarter. Overall in this election cycle he has raised roughly $645,000 and spent roughly $300,000. He has nearly $525,000 cash on hand.

Loebsack’s opponent Miller-Meeks reports raised $66,000 in the second quarter and $318,000 in this election cycle. Miller-Meeks spent $217,000 in winning the four-way Republican primary, leaving $100,000 cash on hand.
