(OSKALOOSA, Iowa) - The Oskaloosa Police Department announced Wednesday morning that a woman reported missing on Monday had been found.

Brenda Canny, 66, reportedly walked away from her Oskaloosa home after midnight on July 12.

At approximately 8:45 Wednesday morning, Mahaska County 911 received a call that Brenda Canny had been spotted in a wooded area in the town of University Park.

University Park is located just southeast of Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Canny was found to be responsive and alert. She was transported to Mahaska County Hospital where she remains in stable condition.

No foul play is suspected in her disappearance, Police officials say Mrs. Canny has health issues that cause her to become disoriented and confused.
