CHILLICOTHE, MO --
Authorities responded to the scene of a plane crash near Chillicothe Friday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Duane Urick of Trenton, Missouri was en route to spray crops near Chula around 6:15 p.m. when the plane went down.
The small agricultural spray plane, or crop duster, was about 150 yards from the airport runway when it crashed.
Urick was taken to Hedrick Medical Center and treated for minor injuries]
An investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board is ongoing.
