DAVIS COUNTY, IOWA -- An unusual crash hospitalized one heartland woman Friday.
Authorities said the driver of this vehicle failed to yield to a tractor on a bridge on highway 63 just north Bloomfield.
The driver hit the tractor and veered off the highway tearing through the cornfield for several hundred yards before getting stuck.
At the scene, authorities said they were unsure what caused the woman to drive as far as she did into the field.
They said the woman was responsive when authorities arrived on the scene.
