KIRKSVILLE, MO --

A.T. Still University made the list of fit friendly companies according to the American Heart Association.

The school was recognized for its fitness and wellness friendly environment on both the Kirksville and Arizona campuses.

ATSU health programs encourage employees to be active, go to the doctor once a year, and attend heart health seminars, to name a few.

“If we're walking the talk, if we're trying to encourage people that we're educating people properly so they can be this kind of a caregiver, very consistent that you put some money into an initiative that would encourage your employees to take care of themselves also,” said Dan Martin, Thompson Campus Center Director.

Martin says the university strives to maintain its fit friendly title year after year. This award makes four in a row.
