OTTUMWA, IOWA -- On the morning of June 9th, 2010, officers from the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Ottumwa Police Department, and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the Esteban Perez Jr. residence located at 530 W. 4th, Apt. A, Ottumwa, IA.
As a result of the search, officers seized items consistent with the distribution of controlled substances. Charged as a result of the investigation was:
Esteban Perez Jr., age 18, of 530 W. 4th, Apt. A, Ottumwa.
Perez was charged with:
• Possession with the Intent to Deliver less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, a class “C” Felony.
• Possession with the Intent to Deliver less than 100 grams of Cocaine, a class “C” Felony.
• Delivery of Marijuana, a class “D” Felony.
• Distribution to a Person under age 18, a class “B” Felony.
Perez is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail.
Please note the following pursuant to recent Supreme Court rulings: A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
