KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Cape Air has won the battle to be the new air service provider at Kirksville Regional Airport. Cape Air along with current provider Air Choice One and Pacific Wings Airlines all made public presentations in an effort to win the contract.

Cape Air will provide three daily non-stop roundtrip flights to and from Lambert Field in Saint Louis, for a one way fare of $49. The current contract with Air Choice One expires in late July; it's not known exactly when Cape Air will begin service; however an interruption in service is not expected.

Cape Air currently provides service at the Quincy airport.
