KIRKSVILLE, MO --

It was a busy Memorial Day for emergency responders around Kirksville.

The Adair County Sheriff's Office is investigating two fires that broke out Monday. A mobile home burned down around 10:30 Monday night. It was owned by the Praying Hands Mission in Kirksville and used for storage.

Officials also responded to a blazing woodpile on East Center Way in Adair County.

KTVO asked authorities if the fires are related.

“At this time it's an ongoing investigation and we're talking to witnesses and interviewing individuals,” said Adair County Sheriff Bob Hardwick.

The Kirksville Police Department is investigating the arson of the historic Still Mansion on South Osteopathy Street.
