ARLINGTON, IOWA (AP) -- Authorities say vandals spread animal feces and scattered empty alcohol cans throughout a school near Arlington in northeast Iowa.
The Fayette County sheriff's office says the vandalism at the Starmont Community School happened sometime over the weekend and was discovered around 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
The sheriff's office says feces and empty cans were spread through the hallways and some offices.
No estimates were available for damage and clean up.
A telephone call to school Superintendent Matt O'Loughlin on Tuesday was not immediately returned.
