KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Kirksville High School seniors were encouraged to take their faith with them when they graduate next week.

The Kirksville Interchurch Ministries sponsored a baccalaureate service at Kirksville Midde School to honor the class of 2010 through scripture, hymns, and gospel.

Local religious leaders participated in wishing the class farewell and extending best wishes to the graduating seniors as they pursue future endeavors.

“They’re going to be saying goodbye to many other things but please, try not to.. don’t say goodbye to your faith.  He’s (Dr. Barry Poyner) realistic knowing that some will but then they’ll come back,” said Kirksville Interchurch Ministries President Fran Norman.

Senior Whitney Riley put together a slideshow featuring past and present pictures of the seniors.

KHS Commencement Ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pershing Arena on Truman’s campus.
