FAIRFIELD, IOWA -- Maharishi Students dominated the 2010 Congressional Art Contest taking, first, third, and three of the six honorable mentions.
The contest was open to all high school students in Iowa’s Second District.
The winning piece, by Kenzie Wacknov, a senior at Maharishi, it will be displayed in the U.S. Capital building for a year.
The second and third place pieces will hang in Congressman Loebsack’s office for the next year.
“It makes me feel a lot better about the quality of what I take because I am sort of critical about what I do and this made me loosen up a bit and feel better about what I do,” said third place winner Brandon Huff.
