NOVELTY, MO. -- An Atlanta man faces a felony charge after he allegedly stole from a heartland business.

Michael Combs, 40, is charged with one count of felony stealing, $25,000 or more.

According to court documents, the incidents occurred between November of 2007 and August of 2009 while Combs was manager at Novelty Feed and Seed in Novelty Missouri.

Its alleged Combs used business funds to buy personal items, traded business products for reductions in personal expenses and purchased a tractor for the business.  Authorities allege he traded that tractor for another, which he kept. Total theft is estimated at least 50 to 100-thousand dollars.

Combs is currently free on $2500 cash bond.  His next court date is set for May 25.
