FORT MADISON, IOWA (AP) -- Gov. Chet Culver says no one in his office or campaign is the focus of an state investigation into political donations by Fort Dodge casino backers to his re-election committee.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is looking into a total of $25,000 donated to Culver's campaign by three Fort Dodge investors.

Culver, who was in Fort Madison on Thursday for a groundbreaking of a new state prison, declined to comment on the investigation. But he said no one in his office or the campaign "is the center of that."

Culver also says he doesn't have any regrets about asking state gambling regulators to approve casino licenses for Fort Dodge, Ottumwa and Lyon and Tama counties.

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission is slated to make a decision on May 13.
