KIRKSVILLE, MO --

A new face will soon head up the Adair County SB40 Developmental Disability Board.

Deb Wohlers will start as Executive Director May 10. She's been with the Kirksville Regional Office for over ten years. She says her new job will be somewhat similar to the old job, only she'll be working for the county instead of the state.

“I'm looking forward to the challenge of meeting the upcoming needs. As everybody knows, there's a lot of budget cuts coming from the state and I am firmly convicted that the county is going to play a very important role in meeting the needs of people in our county with developmental disabilities and their families,” said Wohlers.

Wohlers will replace former Executive Director Nan Davis who resigned in March. She says she is looking forward to working with a diverse and well educated board.
