LA PORTE COUNTY, INDIANA -- A northeast Missouri teen is being held in La Porte County, Indiana, awaiting extradition back to Missouri to face three felony charges.

According to Macon police, Cody Walton, 18, of Macon is charged with two counts of felony stealing and one count of stealing a motor vehicle in connection with an incident that happened in late February in Macon.

Police said the charges stem from an incident in which a vehicle was stolen from the 700 block of Main Street and cash, a cell phone and a gun were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Second Street.

Walton was arrested by Indiana authorities after he crashed the stolen vehicle.

Walton is currently on probation after pleading guilty to stealing another vehicle in February of last year.

A portion of the stolen cash, along with the stolen phone and the gun were recovered by Indiana investigators.
