ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI -- AmerenUE is advising customers of the City of Marceline Utilities that it will be necessary to conduct a planned power outage beginning at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, April 11, to repair damage caused by an equipment malfunction. The outage is expected to last less than 1 hour. It may be possible for the City of Marceline to run back-up generation during that time but customers should plan to be without power as a precaution.
UE says the planned power outage is necessary for safety reasons while the work is going on. The company scheduled the work to take place early on a Sunday to minimize inconvenience for local residents and businesses.
Only customers of the City of Marceline should be affected. City and county officials have been advised. In case of adverse weather, the work and planned power outage will be rescheduled.
