ADAIR COUNTY, MO. -- The Adair County Sheriff’s Office would like to alert the public to an on-going operation being conducted by Tri-County Electric Cooperative Association Inc. which has resulted in several calls to the Sheriff’s Office.
Tri-County Electric is in the process of trimming trees that are presenting a hazard to power line service in Adair County. This project, which is in progress now, is scheduled to continue throughout the year. Crews are scheduled to work Monday – Friday during daylight hours. Based upon weather and other circumstances, crews could be seen out working on the weekends.
Tri-County Electric has contracted with two licensed tree trimming companies, Smith Tree Service and High Line Tree Service. These companies are operating vehicles that are clearly marked.
Alan Klein, Operations Manager of Tri-County Electric, advised that trees that are within or over-hanging their right-of-way are subject to trimming and/or removal based upon the threat they present to power line service. He wishes to assure consumers that the crews employed are highly trained and skilled at performing this service. Crews are instructed to make contact with consumers if their operations will impact yard trees that are over-hanging Tri-County Electric right-of-way.
Sheriff Hardwick encourages anyone that may have concerns or questions concerning this project to contact Mr. Klein of Tri-County Electric at the toll free number of 1-888-457-3734.
